I rarely review things on but as my first smartwatch, I liked this so much I had to give a review. Now I did buy it back in October when the Amazfit GTS 2 was $99, and I had an Android 11 phone and wasn't interested in spending hundreds on an Apple Watch.I did my research, found that the parent company Huami is a manufacturer for Xiaomi products which are known for great hardware but okayish software so I knew what I was getting, and the Amazfit GTS had just about everything I needed. You open it, download the Zepp app, then connect via Bluetooth. It's honestly not that bad.Pros:-1.5 WEEK BATTERY LIFE. Seriously, the battery life on this beats Apple watches any day.-Looks pretty even after 2 months. I got a lot of compliments for the watch before telling them it's an Amazfit.-Comfy: I never had any issues with it leaving a mark on my skin. I do take it off before showering and other than charging it (which only takes abiut 2 hours to go full charge), I ALWAYS have this on.-At $100 this is a bargain. I'd recommend to anyone getting it as a first time watch.-Has a phone finder: Rings your phone if you can't find it and your phone can find it when it vibrates. Underrated feature.Cons:-$150 is too much. It's a great $100 watch.-Heart monitor was passable, it gets rem sleep but not short naps or anything less than 3 hours from testing it for 2 months.-Software is mediocre: Zepp is a mediocre app that gets the job done. Has no built in speaker. It's the minimum amount required to make this watch work, which is a shame since the hardware runs silky smooth.Overall, I love it. It's not an Apple Watch but I didn't need those features.
This watch is pretty great. It looks and feels good. The app works perfectly. The battery life is amazing and will last you 2 weeks with mild usage without charging. Fitness monitoring is extremely accurate.Downsides are sleep monitoring is not that accurate, and it doesn’t monitor naps and REM sleep. I’ve emailed Amazfit to ask them to include this feature. GPS takes a while to lock on. I advise start the GPS ahead of time then start the workout. All in all a truly amazing watch for a decent price. 10/10 would buy again.
It has 90% of what the 300 dollar watches have with half the price. Plus there are important areas that the Amazfit watches outshine the competition.Battery life! this thing is a king, getting over a month if you disable the intensive options. Which I don't! Even with all of the bells and whistles turned on it last me for over 2 weeks of use. I take it off for showers only, though you don't even have to if you don't want to, it just feels weird for me to leave it on.I have the Bip, and the GTS. I bought my parents both the GTS, it's the first smartwatch they have actually worn. Probably because they almost never have to charge it!
This watch held up to my expectations. My husband got it for me for Christmas. The weight and size are good and very similar to an apple watch without breaking the budget. I was able to easily customize my watch face background to my baby's ultrasound pic or any image I wanted by way of the watch face store. Tried out phone calls, sms, and all other features seem to work efficiently with my Huawei p20 phone. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is Alexa. I'm not sure why some people have said the phone calls or sms don't work for them as I have a feeling they don't realize you have to set them up individually one by one and also ensure you are paired to your phone through Bluetooth. I had no problems and it was fairly easy and straight forward. So far I am a happy customer!
I have owned the Amazfit Bip for a couple of years and loved that smartwatch. I decided to upgrade to the GTS and I am not disappointed at all. I have small wrists and the watch is not too large and it is unbelievably thin compared to some ot the other fitness trackers. It does what I need it to do and I am very happy. Battery life is not as great as the Bip but I can go a good two weeks between charges.
